I downloaded a 715mb file off of emule Not one video player that i have will play the file.

Vlc media player doesn't play the file

Quicktime says its not a movie file

Windows media player says Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.

    Any Suggestions

Stop downloading crap off emule would be my first suggestion.

Second would be to try and load it with g-spot or avicodec to see what's really in it. However it might just be that it is a corrupt file, and you have just wasted hours downloading it.

Drop it into Gspot 2.60 and see what it says about the file. If no go, the 'last resort' may be VirtualDub Mod. VLC will play most anything. If none of them will open it or display it, or give you any usable info, it may be a 'fake' file. Just delete it, then. That's the chances you take with those type of files.

    And welcome to our forums.
