    Whats the best way to convert a 1080i sample clip to 1080P with minimum quality loss?

    Files are in TS (Transport Stream) format.

    your decoder will do it anyway -- if they have pulldown , remove the pulldown ... if they are true 29.97fps , leave them alone

    That combo is pretty good, but I'm with BJ_M if you can avoid it.
