    Hello everyone...

I dont know if i can post this here, so please if I'm doing anything that I shouldn't please tell me.

Ok, I want to make a backup from a audio tape to a Music CD, how can I do it?
Do I need to connect my radio to my DVD Recorder, and then convert the Files to audio files?

I mean, can I do this or isn't there such thing?

    Thanks to all.

Line out from your radio to line in in your computer audio card, record to wav.
    Burn wav as Audio CD.

I'd go for CDWave, as it can automatically split the recording in tracks. It's a specialized app, where GoldWave and Audacity are general purpose audio editors/tools.

  10. Just had to throw in my thanks on this one. I'd just got round to getting a cable to attach tape players etc to my PC and found that the imported files were going to result in very long tracks. CD Wave means that I get more flexibility for burning the files and makes using the car CD player easier to use if CDs are taken out and put back in.

    Hi again!

Just one question: I've been trying to convert from the tape to the CD, but the CDWave doens't let you convert from the tape to a audio file, it only lets to select the file (after that being converted), so my question now is: what program should I use to transfer from the Tape to the PC.

    Thanks to all.

Edit --» BTW, this is my post number 100, I'm so happy. :P :P :P

According to the help page, http://www.milosoftware.com/cdwave/description.html, it's no more than hitting the REC button... (The example is for recording a CD from a LP, but the same principles applies.)

  14. In Windows Volume Control->Recording you have to select line-in as the source.

I've used the WaveEdit.exe app that comes with Nero to do this in the past and gotten fairly decent results.
