  1. Is there an mp4 equivalent to the AVI Codec utility that will tell me about the codec used to decode/encode an mp4 file? In particular I want to know the audio format used and whether it is mp4 Part 10 (H.264).

Have you tried Gspot 2.60? Or MediaInfo? I'm not sure how they work with MP4.

Thanks, Baldrick, I always forget about YAMB.

Or you can try YAMB and see what video and audio it contains.

My favorite is AVICodeC. Small, intrigates into Windows Explorer right click, and works with many file types and audio.

    Good luck.

GSpot has an option to set up a link in the SendTo menu.
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
