Hello all I am New to all this so Be Gentle, Please

I have googled and searched for this info and I am sure I am just not asking the right question so here it goes.

I have two halves of a whole avi file that has two audio tracks, english and spanish and I want to save the two halves into one avi file with both audio files intact. What seems to happen so far is only one is saved. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you.

    PS
and also info on how to save and choos one or the other. My choice not the softwares. LOL

What software are you using? VirtualDub Mod would be my first choice. Then you 'append' the second file with the first. I admit I haven't tried this with 2 audio tracks. I generally use VirtualDub Mod because I like how it handles audio better than the regular VD.

If you are able to get them both with VDM after appending, it would be easy to chose one or the other for a output.

Someone with more experience with appending 2 audio tracks may have better ideas.

    And welcome to our forums.

The easiest for AVI files is probably AVIMux GUI. It's a little freeware program that works great. You open the program and open Windows Explorer. Drag the video portion in and the audio portions. Click the video file then click the "Add" button. Select the audio(s) files you want included with a checkmark then export the compile. Easy just do it a few times thats all. Might want to click "All Audio"...

Some software will let you choose the audio track you want like MediaPlayer Classic. Windows Media Player V10 will simply play both tracks at the same time..... Microsoft - figures

    Good luck.
