  1. Hi,

My query is simple. Is there a software which will extract all email from the Inbox, Sent Box and other folders from a web based email service which does not provide IMAP access and store them locally.

Outlook and other similar client will only fetch contents from Inbox but not from other folders for POP3 access.

  2. Yes that is correct, Mats.

The thing is I prefer to access my company's email account through IE instead of Outlook or any other client. For many new email I write or replies I give, I usually tick the checkbox to store the email in "Sent" box for future reference. This "Sent" box is on the mail server.

Just wondering if it possible to extract / copy all these email through some s/w and store locally. The same would apply to folders like "Draft" etc.

My mail server provides only POP3 access and not IMAP.

Is it an exchange server with POP3 for external access ? If so, you should get them to enable the Web Outlook interface. Then you can have full access to your email box via your browser.

  5. I could not get hold of the IT guys. But the About link after login into the account gives the following info. So its not Exchange Server.

Well, for something like Yahoo there are connection programs like YPOPs!, and there are some for other services as well. I think some are non-specific, but I really don't know much about them.
