    Hello,
I have my neighbors computer here that was quite old and refused to boot due to a damaged power supply, I have a newer and faster machine here earmarked for them so I have just swapped their original hard drive (as additional storage with all previous data intact) and their wireless NIC card. Since the original machine wouldn't boot I wasn't able to get into IE and Outlook Express and back up e-mails and bookmarks etc. Of course their documents and media files are quite obvious and easy to locate, however I don't seem to be able to find their IE bookmarks and e-mails does anyone know what system folders they get stored in?

I have built and loaded many a PC in both Windows and Linux, Most have been first time computers or I have been able to back up data before the switch. This is the first time I've done it this way I tried copying the IE and Outlook Express folders from the previous install into the fresh one but to no avail. If someone could be so kind as to point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful! -TIA!

    Outlook express folder:
    C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{74114395-0BBB-4BB8-80D2-74CFEC452A24}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Isn't the bookmarks stored in C:\Documents and Settings\User name\Favorites? I don't have windows xp here to check.
