  1. As the title says, sometimes video in wmv will freeze while the audio keeps going. This might happen when I try to change the video time position (by using the scroll bar)… Or sometimes when I resize…

I always just figured wmv sucks, so in case I am wrong and this has somehow been a error in my comp (even after like 5 formats (one done today))….

    Btw I use MPC.

WMV is pretty good for certain circumstances, but it doesn't seek well, as you have noticed, and isn't very robust (ironic for a download oriented codec).

In short, it isn't you, it's them.

WMV usually only has seek errors if its header hasn't been encoded properly. wmv damage becuase most people rip a wmv video stream. You can fix the header and convert it to .asf with AsfBin from there you could convert to an avi format if you prefer.

  4. VLC seems to play them best...

Is there anyway to get a on small scroll bar on screen in full screen(not the standard one using the mouse)?

That small thing might be the biggest thing which kept me away from VLC all these years...
