Hello All,
I am new to DVD printing.. Just got my Canon 780 and did the mod.. I have couple of questions...
I have Maxell 8x made in japan with media code MXL RG03 that is printable and got from WalMart couple of months before.. This is my first printable dvds...
My question is
1. Can i use this with inkjet printer ?
2. Is this hub printable or regular inkjet printable ?
3. I read that its print area is 118 x 21. Does this apply to this media.
4. I am using CD Label software from Canon. I am not able to go below 33mm. Is it possible to print on the disc that i have with this software ?
5. How do i differentiate between hub printable and regular printable discs ? Appreciate if anybody point me to pictures of both ?
and finally i am very excited about printing...
Appreciate your answers on this and sorry if these questions are answered before, if so please point me to those thread..
Thanks

As for what's hub printable and what's not, an illustration is in order...
Is that clear now?
Hub printing, at least to me, is a gimmick. It just gives you a wee bit more print area. Big freakin' deal.
The rest of your questions should be obvious then. -
The MAXELL PRINTABLES from Wally Worlds are HUB PRINTABLE.

The rest you should have been able to figure out already. -

This doesn't address the original poster's question, but I wanted to suggest to check out Lightscribe at
http://www.lightscribe.com
Lightscribe is a new technology that lets you burn labels on special Lightscribe CD-Rs or DVD+Rs. Granted, there is no color, but it's pretty cool. Some people have suggested that pasting labels on burnable media may shorten the lifespan of the disc, but I'm not sure that there's any hard evidence for this. This would provide a good alternative for people like me who don't want to get into pasting and printing labels but would like to be able to have some kind of labels on our discs. -
