  1. I made a mistake and recorded in .mpg rather than the .ts file extention that CapDVHS has as a default. I now would like to make a DVD from my .mpg file extentions but I am running into a conversion problem. How can I make my .mpg files into DVD compatible or TMPGEnc DVD Author take them as ok files.

    Thanks

If they aren't DVD specs already (See WHAT IS DVD top left) you have to reencode to meet the specifications.

  3. What would be the easiest reencoder to do the job?

easiest: convertxtodvd or the old free divxtodvd. it makes a dvd, video_Ts folder but you can import it in tda.

  6. I think that I have found my problem.
The beginning of the first file was in 2 channel audio (Recap of previous season) while the rest of the file was in 5 channel audio (The actual episode). Cut out the 2 channel audio part (with VideoRedo Pro) and just kept the 5 channel audio part to make my DVD. The other 5 files (episodes) were also in 5 channel audio. Now ConvertXtoDVD works, SVCD2DVD works and TMPGEnc DVD Author works without a hickup. Found this information with AVIcodec.

    Excellent!
