I used DVD 1 click copy to copy a dvd. It plays fine with all menus and episodes in my computer, but my set top DVD player cant seem to read it.

    Any ideas?

Most likely you are using a media brand/type that your standalone doesn't like. Try a different brand(s) and try to stick with -R media for best compatibility.

You can also try looking up your standalone in the DVD Players database and see what media others have posted as working/not working (if any).

If you were an early adopter and your player is several years old it is possible that your player will not play burned DVDs, this is especially true of some early SONY models. Trying different brands of media is a waste of effort in such a case.

Check the DVD player list for your model and what experiences others may have had.

I have a Toshiba model??? that I bought when there were only 20 DVD titles available, and about 4 DVD players available. (I think I bought about 12 of the DVDs). I was convinced that DVD was the wave of the future. I was right as usual (yea right). But I get about 95 out of 100 sucessful burns to work on the old DVD player, which still works quite well. I try to stick with made in Japan disks if possible - Sony is about the only brand found in stores still made in Japan. I have a Benq writer, and use only +R DVDs.

You need to check (writer vs DVD brand) vs player to ensure that you get all the correct parts to work together. I check my DVD+R burns on 3 different players.

Also never put a label on your DVD. This can add another failure point.
