I've had almost nothing but good luck with online purchases personally.
-
With the exception of eBay I've never had any bad experiences with on-line shopping.

I've had pretty much entirely great experiences with online shopping. the only glitch was when it took amazon about 4 monmths to send me my dvd. This was because(I assume anywyas) it was a fairly obscure dvd that took them a while to get in.

So far I've had very good experiences shopping online. Once I needed a part for my riding lawnmower and none of the dealers around me could get it. I even called the company and they couldn't get it. I went online and did a Google search and in 3 days I had my mower running. I buy a lot of my computer hardware and software online now.

stores like amazon and tigerdirect and newegg have been just fine.
I've only had a few bad deals on ebay out of about 90 since I joined in 2000 or 2001.....Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
I've had no problems. Just that one guy on ebay that sent me the wrong item.
His name was MackemX
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
I don't do much of it and being as there was no middle of the road choice I picked getting worse. Stuff that I order on my wifes behalf is usually small off the shelf crap (Mugs and nick nac crap presents that she buys to give or for her sister). But it seems that when I order for my credit card challenged brother, shit always goes wrong. Out of stock, back ordered, no longer available, longer than expected restock. He is like the jinx of online shopping. I honestly don't think he has ever had a simple order. And of course, it is on my card!
Errr! Family! Can't live with 'em and can't kill 'em!IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT? -
I heard Adam had a really good ebay experience regarding a copy of Windows XP :P Just kidding!!!
My limited experience with online purchases has been pretty good thus far. *knock wood* -

I'll usually try to find a local shop but often an item is either far too expensive or simply not available. -
I give online shooping two thumbs up. I can find stuff I can't find anyplace else.

No crowds.
Vastly superior ability to compare products from different manufacturers.
No clueless sales staff that can't answer the most basic questions.
The product I want is nearly always in stock (somewhere).
No delays in check out because the idiot ahead of you selected every item that had an unreadable barcode and no pricetag.

Once I got a unique Visa for internet shopping and started fiinding all this stuff nowhere near any local or distant merchants, I've used online buying a lot. Really never had a problem. But also I mostly deal with well known places like Newegg, Rima, Amazon, Furniture online etc...since most buying is Audio/Video related. If I find a merchant like "Tiger Direct" that would not even return an email to clarify a product listing I dont deal with them.
I would have to say I'm extremely satisfied...so far.

No problems so far, I don't buy much online, though. I do love street shopping
