i have a chinese and english subtitle file in the image based idx/sub file format. is there a way to show chinese and english in the same time while playing the movie? I want them on top of each other.

Can't think of a way without using two sub renderers, at least not without OCR'ing to a format like ssa that supports multiple subs/placements.

Theoretically, if the two 2 sups have exact same timestamps for everything, you *could* overlay the two, but I have not seen any tools that let you do that. So practically, I'd say "no way".
It MAY be easier to OCR everything, then try to merge the 2 sets of subtitles into a single file, then resort by timestamp. However, OCR Chinese may be a bit of a problem.
