Just picked up a 21 inch Sony CRT and it has the option to use the standert 15 pin vga or a DVI-I cable would I notice much difference hooked to the DVI-I side of the monitor and the DVI-I output on the video card or should I just stick with the vga. Thanks

The manual should state what resolutions are supported on the two connectors.

If this is a standard computer monitor, it probably supports a selection of Vesa resolutions over VGA (analog RGB) or DVI-D (digital RGB). I'd try DVI-D first for a 21".

Your DVI-I connector on the graphics card can split into DVI-D and VGA.
