Hello, I'm ripping my dvds but what to do to keep(or add) the subtitles in the .vob files???
Is it the right way??? Or should I convert the .vob files in .avi n them add the subtitles???
Anyways, I don't know how to make a SVCD from a ripped DVD keeping the portuguese languange subtitles. i would search in the foruns, but they're down, so if someone could give a hand I really appreciate!!!
Thanxs my friends!!!

Take a look to the left under Author and you can find guides for ripping DVD -> x(S)VCD w/ subtitles. I recommend:
1) Rip DVD
2) USE DVD2AVI to generate D2V and wav file
3) Use VFAPI codec on D2V to generate avi file
4) Load VFAPI_avi in Virtual Dub, use the VobSub filter to add subtitles
5) Frameserve from Virtual Dub to TMPGenc (or CCE), use the wav file as audio source
6) Encode
All of this (and more) is covered at:
http://www.flexion.org/video/DVDConv/DVD2AVI/
this site has more information then you need, but it does walk you through step by step, w/ lots of screen shots.
Can also try DVD2SVCD (http://dvd2svcd.doom9.net) the guide for it can be found at http://www.doom9.org
