The remote to my DVD player died yesterday and it's getting to be quite annoying to (gasp!) get off my butt and walk to the player's controls. I was going to replace the player soon anyway, but are there any affordable (lt $50) universal remotes that work reasonably well? Ideally it would control a TV, DVD player, and VCR (including programming). I have major brands, but major omissions or inclusions of brands would be helpful. Thanks!

All for One? or something like that. Wally world used to have a small selection on universal remotes pretty cheap. But like posted above, there are nicer ones.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

The Harmony is nice, but WAY more than I want to spend!

I have and like the older version (VL900) of this remote:

I consider the ability to learn new functions indispensable.

Out of stock right now but it is in your price range. It usually does not take newegg long to have an item back in stock.
