I've imported a PSD logo, and am doing a CC Light Sweep in it, with the "cutout" mode, which means only what the light sweep is on is shown, kind of like a spotlight. When I select this mode, however, the logo loses the texture and goes to a solid color. Does anyone know why it's doing this and how I can preserve the texture on the text? My only thought was to import it as a .bmp or other flattened image, but then the light sweep effect would be applied to the black background as well. Any thoughts?
