Stupid question, most likely, but I'm just curious.
Would there happen to be a Photoshop filter or plugin that can take a selection (including irregular selections taken with the Magic Wand) and apply a glossy white (light) 'highlight' to it, much like what you can see with Aqua/gel buttons or perhaps polished metal?
Probably something free, as I'm only mildly interested in playing around with the effect. I've been experimenting with the Lighting Effects filter, but, hey, anything that requires less work...![]()

Yeah, I've already done a couple runs through Google. It'd probably help if I was sure of the proper name for the effect, though.
Thing is, though, I'm actually using PS Elements, so not all Actions are guaranteed to work. Plus, I'm also apparently in the habit of searching just for filters and plugins because I can often use them with other programs as well. :/If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
