hey guys i have just got myself a copy of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 3: Advanced Warfighter, when playing the game it seems to jump like mad really slow and slow responding as you can see from my profile i meet the requirements of the game,

    Minimum specs required to run:
2 GHz Pentium® IV or the equivalent
    1Gb RAM
5 GB of hard drive space
    NVIDIA® GeForce™ 6/7 or ATI® Radeon® 9600-9800/X

Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Two things that help with gaming:

    - Defrag your hard drive.

    - Turn off or lower your Anti-Virus monitoring.

Check for processes running in background.

Lower resolution and/or details in the game.

only 5g hard drive space? is it a small drive or is it very full? do you have a lot of programs installed? i agree with both. check processes for auto update programs and stuff. if theres more than say 30 theres too much crap running. i hear you technically need about 7 to run windows! and honestly, just because you meet the requirements doesn't mean it's gonna work like you imagine. "gaming computers" are a whole different ballgame..

Those are specs required to install and play the game not the amount of space on the OP's hard drive or the specs of the OP's machine.

That game is a bugger to run. I have two 6800 GTs that I put together in my file server workstation to see if I could run it and I still had some problems running at medium-high resolutions. I think the trick is that you really need that silly physics card that it recommends because the physics are what really hits your processor. Unfortunately they didn't make the game SMP to take advantage of your (I'm assuming) dual-core chip or perhaps this would be a non-issue.

I didn't like warfighter that much anyway though, try the new Rainbow Six instead.
