You should also have some codes - long hexidecimal strings (10 characters or so) and a clearer (slightly) message about the dll. We will need those as well to help you

    Just an update...

    Reinstalling DirectX solved the problem.

    Thanks.

Hey, I have the same problem of frequent crashes with the BSOD mainly when I try to capture video from a Sony ZU1 or FX1 into Premiere Pro 2 and at times when I try to play a video clip in Windows Media Player. It never happened before, only after I started using a new Intel Core Duo laptop. The video is kept on an external sata hard drive running into my machine through a PC Cardbus Adapter (eSata).

Here is the error code from the BSOD.

    Page Fault in Non-Paged Area
    Stop: 0x00000050 (0XE34D2F30, 0X00000000, 0XBFD0F9F9,0X00000001)
    ativvaxx.dll

Address: BFD0F9F9 base at BFCED000, Date Stamp 4398bf55

    Thanks,

    Didrik
