I am trying to encode a large (160 Gb) QuickTime file into MPEG 2 for DVD use. I am using mpeg2enc. The original audio is uncompressed 44100 2ch aiff. I would like to keep the audio uncompressed in the final MPEG 2 file, but all I get is a "failed" report from ffmpegX Progress plus a silent video file and a ".copy" file which seems to be the audio but can't be muxed to the video. I tried extracting the audio from the original big QuickTime file but it will not sync with the mute mpeg.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

ffmpegX only allows mp2 and ac3 for DVD-Video. ffmpegX has no setting for PCM audio on DVD. If you really want uncompressed audio, you'll need a different tool.
