I have a new DVG-3000N and after a lot of searching, I found how to get to the "factory" menu. BUT I noticed it looks like the menu I would see on a DVG-5000N. Being the suspicious type I checked the version number reported in the “factory” menu. It read V25212133. When I peeked at the Mvision hack on the dvd-wizards site I found that the “original” and hacked update files were V25212131 (2 versions old). ALSO the DGV-5000N has V25212134
Since my player seems OK with variable bit rate MP3s and subtitles in SVCD (reported NOT to work by other reviewers) I am certain that I don’t want to apply the hack as I will probably loose these features.
Does any one know of a source for this version?
... a source for a hack in this version?
... How to build the files for the CDR?
... How to apply the hack to the data?
... Is the EEPROM in a socket so I could remove it and read it?
My player seems to be a DVG-5000N without the power button on the remote![]()
THANKS in advance
PS: and thanks for this site!
Sory if this a dupe question, but the search feature is down.

Another Update: I have found a file that has V25212133:
Its for a DVG-9000N (as posted on DVD-Wizards)
Could this be the same?
