what kind of 8mm,film or camcorder?if it is a camcorder, i have a dv bridge to capture to digital and then edit, convert to mpeg2(or whtat ever i want) with great results.i don't use its software i use pennicale but it's about 300 bucks for a dv bridge.there are a few other things out there that can do the job but this has given me the best results.kept reading to see what others have to say and check the capture card list also when you find something you like.if it is out there, some has talked about it here. later
