I have this movie clip includes subtitle but seems like it is not sync with the movie clip. I do not know which is the correct subtitle for the movie which includes IDX and SUB. I have downloaded and used Visual Sub Sync, Subtitle Workshop and Subrip but I do not know how to use them correctly to edit the subtitle. When I used Subtitle Workshop and open the SUB file, it shows file is bad subtitle or unsupported file.
What should I do? Please help.

sub/idx are image based subs so you can't use subtitles tools that only supports text subtitles like subtitle workshop.

if you are playing the video with subs on your computer you can sync directly while playing using vobsub or ffdshow.

or try the subresync tool included in vobsub.

Oh, so is it better to use image based sub or text based?
I got ffdshow but how do I use it to sync the subtitle?
