  1. For the PC:

    Xtree Gold - without a doubt.. still miss that program today <sigh>
    Made other file managers like Norton's commander look sickly imo.

    Professional Write - better than word, wordperfect and star imo.

    Harvard Graphics - Histograms and pie charts in 3d - Yeah!! - print those suckers out on a 9 pin dot matrix

    Norton's Utilities - a must have universal utility

    SpinRite - when your hdd needed low level formatting / data recovery

    QBasic - better and faster than IBM Basic

    MS Works - easier than Lotus and more features

    It was a BBS program that was written small enough that it would fit on a bootable floppy for old Laptops without hard drives.

    yet it had all the features I ever needed including multi dialing and even built in zmodem.

    It wasnt until later when I gave into Windows that I finally let Procom Plus replace it.
