  1. I remember a episode that Captain Kirk looks at the Blonde Yoeman and says" No beach to walk on" does anyone remember the name of the episode?

  5. I just rewatched "The Naked Time" in it when he got infected..he mentioned how the Enterprise just takes and takes..and he gives ..the he said .. I will never let you go never..I find it odd that later in the Movie Genisis..that when he sets the Enterprise on selfdestruct..the thing he vowed to keep he destroyed?..Any thoughts

    I think it illustrates that he placed his friendship with Spock above that which he once held so dear.

  8. So his friendship with Spock was real..and I assume he would have destroyed the Enterprise for Dr.McCoy and Scottie too?..

    Exactly. Of course he loved his ship, but as we found out in ST:IV and ST:TNG, they made others. People are a little harder to replace. Even in science fiction.

    I think the same could be asked of any captain with regard to attachment to one's ship. I imagine it's not dissimilar to someone who takes pride in their car, only on a much grander scale. I'd like to hear a real sea captain or someone in the navy answer that question.
