Snakes on the web.

I haven't seen the new film, "Snakes On A Plane," yet. But I've read a lot about the film - including the famous (or infamous) comment made by Samuel L. Jackson, quote, "I've had it with these M*F* snakes on this M*F* plane!" But, I wanted to leave a comment about it on a review site anyway about my suspicion that this film will be the next cult hit along the lines of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" ... with crazed fans holding styrofoam jets and rubber snakes while they wait in line to see it week after agonizing week, long after the film run has completed.

Anyway, I found a review on MonstersAndCritics.com. And as I was reading through the review, a popup ad launched from the right side of the screen into the left side - covering up some of the text I was trying to read - with no apparent way to close it:



So, I left the my comment about the movie ... but preceded it with a comment about the page the review appeared on:

To paraphrase Samuel L. Jackson, "I've had it with these M*F* popup ads that cover up the text I'm trying to read on this M*F* page!"

It'll probably never get read (snarf). But, it did feel good to post it.

I've seen other ones like this where you try to scroll down the page and the ******* thing follows you!

I called AT&T yesterday because their popup flash for signing up for their 1.5M "high-speed" DSL was preventing me from using my AT&T 3M DSL to access my AT&T webmail. (The popup was blocking the login screen, and there was no way to close it)

Me think's you need a better pop up & ad blocker because i went all over that site and never saw one

Never saw one, eh? Hmmm ... maybe they DID read my comment, hehe.

I hate pop ups. Everyone of them, but I agree the ones that follow you are awful.
