    Is there a way to reset or get back the MPEG 2 option in the latest version of TMPG?? I was playing with it and my system clock - I set it ahead to see what would happen (of course it said my 30 days had expired) and then I set it back to the right date and it still says my 30 days have expired. I see no option to purchase it anywhere.... Please email if possible - james33@midsouth.rr.com

    Thanks for any help!!

  2. Hi James,

    I have definitely seen a post in the forum in the recent past that provides a solution to the '30 day' limit problem that you encountered. It has to do with removing a certain entry for TMPGEnc in the Windows registry, after which you can use TMPGEnc's MPEG2 encoding facility again for another 30 days!

    Do a search and see whether you can find it. If not, I will try to locate my hard-copy of this solution (I printed it out for reference) and will forward you its conten.

  3. Hi James,

    This is was suggested by member low_iq_88 in a topic entitle "TMPGEnc 30 day MPEG-2 limit" that was circulating around 12-19-2001.

    "The 30 day limit can be reset by deleting the following registry key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}

    Or, make a file "TMPGEnc_MPEG2_Reset.reg" with the following content:

    REGEDIT4
    ; Enables TMPGEnc's MPEG-2 encoder for 30 more days.
    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]".

    You may want to locate the various responses to the original discussion for more info.

    Cheers
