    I have recently bought JVC DVD player . Can anybody tell me if after about an hours playing why a cooling fan kicks in? It is really iritating because of the noise.

    I'm guessing your player doesn't have adequate ventilation.

    You could always disable the fan. Then the player would just burn up...but at least it would be silent.
