    Hi ardalanjoon,

    Welcome to the forums.

The easiset way would be to create a still image that includes your email address - output as a bitmap (image.BMP) from something simple like Microsoft Paint.

Make sure that the image is the same size as the TV system you use - 720 x 480 / 576 for NTSC / PAL.

I presume you'll want this displayed for a period of time - say 30 seconds? To do this, you are likely to need to have an audio file that is silent (no sound) and running for as long as you need it. This is easily created in the free audio editing software called Audacity. Output the silence as a WAV file.

You then need to use any of number of encoders to turn these into a DVD compliant MPEG2.

Commonly recommended encoders are (in no special order):

    TMPGEnc Plus
    CinemaCraft Encoder
    Canopus Procoder
    Mainconcept MPEG Encoder

In the encoder, have the still image (BMP file) as your video source, and the silent audio WAV file as your audio source. That way, you'll get your MPEG2 running for as long as you want it to. Of course, you can use audio that isn't silent if you like.

You then need an authoring program with enough flexibility to be able to place your newly created "email address MPEG2" as the "First Play" item. TMPGenc DVD Author may suffice, but DVDLab or DVDLab Pro are worth learning.

I hope that's enough to get you started. Good luck...

P.S. Your English is just fine - better than most people's Iranian I would imagine!!!
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
