Im looking to upgrade my DVd player how do the Plextor PX-760A and the Ps 716 SA stand up. I now have an old pioneer .
Any input would be appreciated.

You may want to post your question in the PLEXTOR FORUM at the CdFreaks.com website. The only thing I can think of is your old pioneer dvd player may not be able to playback burned DVD+R discs that are bitset to dvd-rom. Most newer dvd players can playback discs that are bitset to dvd-rom.
