Corrupted Vob file

Hi all
I am a newbie in dvd authoring techniques
I am having a problem with a dvd that I have downloaded from the web , it was working fine so I have burned it to a dvd and deleted th original files
but on displaying I found that it hangs seconds before the end of chapter2
in my case I checked the vob file and I have found that VTS_04_1.VOB is the one having the problem
is there anyway it can be fixed or reauthored by extracting the vob element and re encoding it again

If you corrupted it with a bad burn then chances are you won't be able to fix it completely because the data is gone. Lesson one for the day - always test before deleting the originals.

Extracting a single title from an authored DVD, then putting it back, is fraight with danger. You are better off etracting all titles, trying to repair or salvage, then re-authoring with what you have left. There are plenty of tools to do this - rejig is one.
