    Hello guyz,

can someone please tell me what size of still pictures should I use adobe premiere and will sit real good in the frame. I want the still picture to occupy the whole screen. I am trying to make a short clip of video with just still pictures.

I have tried some sizes but it is always awkward...it looks as if it is stretched across the screen...can someone please help.

    Regards,

As long as you have the appropriate aspect ratio the pictures should look fine, but I usually format my pictures to the native dvd resolution (720 x 480 for NTSC).

Another program that makes the job of pictures slideshows simple is proshow gold.

    hope this helps.

The simplest solution is to crop and prep the images in photoshop so they are the correct resolution. Otherwise you need to look at the settings when you import. There should be something to preserve the original aspect ratio of the image. From there you may have to use track motion to get it to fit correctly.

    (NTSC)
Do you have CS or CS2? If so, use 720x480--D1/DV/DVD pixel aspect ratio.

Otherwise, use 720x540 with square pixel aspect ratio, and then as a VERY last step of saving, resize unconstrained to 720x480.

DPI doesn't even apply to video, but it's assumed 72dpi (for newbie understandability-sake).

    For PAL,
    use 720x576 (non-square) or 768x576 (square---then resize down to 720x576).

Just checked, Nigeria is PAL. (Yes, it's important)

Don't know about your camera--what kind do you have?
