    I know that you can burn within DVD Shrink if Nero is installed? Does anyone know if this is still true if Nero Essentials is installed?

    I was talking to someone about DVD Shrink and explaining how it works. But they'd like an all-in-one DVD backup solution and they don't want to spend money on the full version of Nero. So I've seen Nero Essentials on several software websites for about $7 + shipping.

    Would this work? I figured it probably would because it's just the engine that is required not all of the frilly stuff that the full Nero has in it. Does anyone have Essentials working with DVD Shrink?

    Not sure about Nero Essentials, why not use DVD Decrypter or with a bit of tinkering, ImgBurn?

    I use ImgBurn most of the time with Shrink. Directions here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869

    It will burn automatically and you don't have to deal with Nero problems.
