  1. Hello i have some rared files from an .iso; when i unrared them i get these:
    DISC_01.I00
    DISC_01.I01
    DISC_01.I02
    DISC_01.I03
    DISC_01.I04
    DISC_01.MDS

In these forum some guys told me to use unrar X to join them and make a brunable DVD, i do not know how to do it. I can unrar them but thats it, after that i do not know what to do.

If someone could tell me in an idiot proof way how to join them it would be a lot of help for me and will be always thankfull.

    Cheers m8s

    Stop using UnRARX.
    Start using MacPar Deluxe.

Mac Par Deluxe uses a third party
    component bundled with it called
Split and Concat, that will automagically
concat your files after it has un-rar'd them.

didn't I mention this last week....?

  3. Yes you did my friend, but i used Mac Par deluxe and i did not get the expected result.
I do not have a clue about PAR files so i was pretty lost using Mac Par.
If it is not too much to ask, would you mind telling me the steps to achieve my goal, meaning to have an .iso file to burn.
Thank you very much and hope not to be asking to much.
    Cheers,

    M.

With Mac Par Deluxe, you would open the .par or.par2
file. Once opened, it would then recurse through your
folder to make sure all necessary pieces are there.
Then, if they are missing some pieces, it would
re-create those missing pieces from the Par set,
a sort of compressed backup of the pieces.

Then, it will, once everything is verified,
unpack the files from the rar, or in your case,
it would launch S&C (Split and Concat) and
attempt to Concat back the files into an .iso.

You could try to run Split and Concat seperately,
just navigate to the folder where you installed
the Application and look for the Split and Concat app.

Oh, I almost forgot...If you downloaded it from Versiontracker.com,
it splits the apps into two downloads, and you could
end up getting only one APP. But if you download from
the maker's website, you get both.

  6. Problems found.

I unrared the files with Mac Par then i tried open slip&concat but i get this error:
"Warning: This is not a file that you can concat! The filename must contain two file extensions (.xxx, like .mov or .mp3) and a second file extension (.xxx, like .001 or. 0aa)"

The files that i get after using any unrar app are:
    DISC_01.I00
    DISC_01.I01
    DISC_01.I02
    DISC_01.I03
    DISC_01.I04
    DISC_01.MDS

I get this error always. Should I PAR1 or PAR2 this files? I do not know what is to par a file but maybe is what i am missing in the process.

    Thanks again,

    M.

The par2 file would be in the set you downloaded,
    typically looking like this:

    "name of file.par2"
    "Name of file 108 + 02.par"
    "name of File 120 + 04.par"

you can also tell they are Pars because they will be about
three to five times the size of 1 .rar file.

I would look at trying to find the .par set,
and if not then I would try to see if Disc Utility will
open and mount the MDS file.

If not, then you will need a PC and use IsoBuster on a PC
    to unpack these files.
