Yes, i am posting in the right forum, since DVD reauthoring is just my final goal, but my immediate question deals with cutting an MPEG. I had a PAL VHS tape converted to a DVD this weekend. The tape was initially a conversion from reel-to-reel, so the quality is terrible.
I ripped it to on big MPEG file, using a software i found here, and now i would like to slice it up into individual chunks, and clean them up one by one (i plan to be doing a lot of reading in the restoration forum)
what is the best way for me to slice the video into individual files, and work with them with no quality loss. I am assuming i should just stick to MPEG. Please let me know if i am on the right track.
