  1. Hi all,

I've been converting video to DVD for a while, but I've hit a problem importing files converted to DVD (NTSC) Template in TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 into Sonic DVDIt Pro 6. It says the files do not meet the legal DVD spec according to the Preferences and will need to be transcoded. In the preferences I have set the project to NTSC.

The same files work fine in DVDIt PE 2.5.

The only thing I've changed from the template defaults in TMPGEnc is to use 2-pass VBR, and I have the minimum set at 2Mbps and the maximum at 8Mbps.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,

    NiVZ

  2. Figured it out.

Afraid I made a very basic error having not used TMPGEnc for a while - I left the audio set at MP2 instead of PCM WAV. Thats why Sonic needed to transcode as DVD audio has to be WAV or AC3.

Going to re-convert the audio to WAV files.

I followed your advice closely, as I had also experienced the same difficulty. I was able to import the mpegs into DVDIT Pro 6 without receiving the prompt advising me that the files were not compliant.
As The project I am creating is a compilation of Live Music clips and videos, there are a few titles and chapters. I proceeded to bulid the menus , chapters, titles etc.....

Everything seemed ok except when I went to burn the project ,The whole thing remained idle once it reached the "Building Movies" stage.

    From there on nothing happens.

It's strange because if the project consists of one Title then it is able to burn it but if there are more than one titles then it remains inactive once reaching the "Building Movies" stage. Is there anyone out there who knows what might be happening and how to remedy this problem?
