Hi. Im shortly going to be filming a training video which i hope to sell in the states as well as here in the UK.. I know converting Pal to NTSC is a nightmare..
So, ive had the idea of filming with two seperate cameras (NTSC and PAL), working on the PAL version for now and then working on the NTSC one at a later date.
Is this a good solution? If so, where can i source a NTSC camera over in the UK? Also, are there no camereas which allow you to film in both on the market?
Thanks for any help.
Rob

for the cost of renting a NTSC camera in the UK , it would be cheaper to take your finished PAL project to a good post house and have them convert it for you on the proper equipment ....

Is this a charts and graphs training video or more of a video show?
If the former, you could have the video elements transferred and then separately edit a PAL and NTSC version with optimized graphics. If the latter you can do it all in PAL and then have the whole thing transferred.
The key point above is to have the video transferred PAL to NTSC on top end equipment. A good percentage of our PBS and cable programming has been transferred from PAL.
