    I'm trying to backup the kids copy of the Incredibles disc 2 so they don't wreck the original.

    I had no probs doing disc 1 ie the main movie - but when I try to do the second disc it keeps coming up with a read error in the last 5 sec of putting it through shrink 2.3.

    error message says CDvdcss: read failed reason: the parameter is incorrect

    I tried running it through dvd fab decrytor first thinking it might have been some kind of encrytion thing but same thing - all seemed fine until the last few seconds and then I get the error

    "invalid nv-pck : nv- vobu-ea unknown"

    Any ideas ?? I mostly only want the "jack jack attack" sequence anyway.

    You could try searching for dvd-decrypter , which has been removed from most site's , but dig deep will still find it .

    Once found and installed , in setting's , io , down to the right , check box "ignor read error's , and go .

    You could also fall back to smartripper , setting's , use "fast error skip" , though it take's a bit of time .

    ====================

    If it's only the jack attack , play back each vob , when jack attack found , remember vts number and it's full playback time length ... then load in dvd ripper program .

    In smart ripper you have both option's to rip via time lenght or by vts ... just like in dvddecrypter

    Then deal with it how you like once ripped .
