  1. I have some video files which I can play without problem, but I cannot open them in Virtual Dub because it says that I don't have the appropriate codec. My question is, how exactly can I find out which codecs I need, and where I can get them?
    Thanks in advance.

  2. VirtualDub requires the old style VFW (Video For Windows) codecs. Use something like GSpot or AVICodec to determine what codecs you need. Then search for VFW codecs, not DirectShow codecs.

Most codecs are here but if you can't find what you need...
