  1. I have a problem with a couple of movies I've tried watching, the audio is fine when I hear it on my PC's speakers, but when the same audio is played simultaneously on my TV through a audio splitter cable and a scart adapter it is all distorted.
The audio shouldn't be distorted since it comes out of the soundcard fine, then is split into two signals, one going to my speakers, the other to my TV. The splittercable is fine since I switched the connectors and the problem persisted.
The problem seems to be with the files, since I watched one movie with perfect on my TV, the playlist then moved on to the next movie and it has the problematic audio.
    Anybody else experienced this problem?

You'll have to try the same test with different audio. That will be the easiest way to tell if was the file or the hardware. Try it with an MP3 or WAV and see if it still happens.

  3. I played both the video and an mp3 simultaneously. On my Pc it sounded fine, the two audios mixed and I could make out the both of them, on the tv however the audio from the movie was garbled and the audio from the mp3 was perfectly fine.
