  1. I've got an DivX/XviD Standalone player ...
I've ripped a DVD into an XviD using AutoGK.. This one has VBR MP3 Audio.. Should I convert the audio to CBR and append to the AVI or leave it as it is(VBR)?
Which is better for viewing regarding this one ?
I have a 2.1 Speaker system connected to the DivX Player and I see sharp differences in the volume (decibel level) of XviD disks during songs/fight sequences.. It gets a bit irritating to keep on changing the volume level now and then... So converting to CBR will give a respite to my problem?

VBR or CBR has no effect on volume. Personally I'd go with VBR.

VBR is most associated with sync problems..........

I doubt the difference between VBR and CBR is worth the hassle.

Neither will affect the volume of your audio, so don't look to this as a solution. You need to look into the normalise function of your favourite audio editor for that.

VBR audio sync problems seem to be when you try to encode the files to MPEG. If you have no plans for that and your Dixv player handles it, why re-encode.?

BeLight isn't an audio editor, just a transcoder. Audacity has a Normalize (sic) function under the effects menu.

BeSweet can normalise audio to as well as boost it. HeadAC3he is also good. I would definatly not recommend recompressing your mp3 audio. Use the DVD audio if you want to do anything.
