I picked up a 1 GB PNY SD at the local Best buy and to my surprize the back of the card was stamped with a Toshiba logo and it also had made in Japan. The card works great so far! probably have taken at least 1000 pics on it.

Flash memory is a commodity. Can't go wrong with any product currently on the market. Just be aware than SANdisk has an inventory glut and prices are dropping. Also flash memory production is up so it should fuel the fire.

Keep in mind the PNY attache line of memory sticks are housed in cheap plastic and that the cap which cover the USB connection tend to no longer "snap" into place after several uses. It should also be noted the lanyard is attached to the cap and not the stick itself so you may want to keep track of the stick and not just the lanyard. You could end up with a lanyard hanging around your neck and someone else using your memory stick. I own a 1GB PNY because it was dirt cheap around the holidays and I only plan to use it as storage not a portable device. I knew of the lanyard and cap issues before I bought it but it has virtually no chance of getting lost. My cap no longer securely closes too and I only used it twice.

I have a PNY Attache 512 MB USB2 made in Taiwan. It was $10 after rebate at Fry's Electronics. It works fine. I have no problems with the cap. There is no lanyard but a hole for one on the body of mine not the cap. From the photo on your link, the 2 GB is the same style.

Glad to see they changed the location of the lanyard. The body still looks to be cheap plastic though with the semi-clear bubble which allows you to see the guts.
