Most of us here would likely advise you to try other software for converting to DVD besides Nero. I have always had better luck with the standalone tools, encoders and authoring tools.

Sync lose can be caused by quite a few different things. Most common is dropped frames when capturing and bad joining or editing. Two main types of sync loss, one where the audio is offset the same amount through out the video and the second where it gradually gets worse as the video plays. The first can usually be corrected by offsetting the audio. The second is when the length of the audio and video are different. Changing the length of either will usually fix that. Or you may have a combination of both. Did Nero give you any errors in the log file? And did you try playing the file before you burned it to DVD? You need to trace back to where the problem happened to be able to prevent it in the future.

How did you get the video in the first place? Through capture? What source, what programs were used? What type of audio? How did you edit it? Lots of questions.

VBR MP3 audio can be a problem as well.

Downloaded episode off website! i watched the video (an .avi file) using windows media player 10 and worked fine from the start to the end not out of sync at all. used nero 7 dvd creator to burn the .avi files 2 make a dvd to watch on a dvd player, files fitted on 2 dvd without error in log file or need 2 compress or change from ntsc or pal or vise versa....anything else u need 2 know?

They're AVIs from the net? Then what ZippyP. could be the problem. Drop the problematic ones into GSpot 2.52 and see if they have MP3 VBR audio.

If so, put them into VirtualDub Mod and convert the audio to WAV format. Then you can put the WAV back in and convert it to CBR MP3 and save that with full processing and the video with direct processing. This should only take a few minutes. Then use that in your encoder software. Guide for extracting WAVs with VDM: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=280779

VBR audio will play fine in most players, but most encoders choke on it and typically cause sync problems. You may want to check all AVIs from the net before you try to encode them to MPEG in the future.

If VBR isn't there, then get back to us.
