  1. Hi.

Most transitions I add to my project work fine.

Some Dissolve transitions won't work. Nothing happens (in the monitor and in the final movie as well).

Cross Dissolve, Dither Dissolve, Non-Additive Dissolve.

I've reinstalled Premiere Elements ... still have the same problem.

    What can be wrong?

    ----

Also, when I'm in the titles workspace and click the Edit button to go back to the Edit workspace, Premiere Elements closes in a flash. No error message, nothing. Strange.

    ----

    Everything else is working fine!!!!

  2. What I don't understand is that the Cross Dissolve Transition is working fine in the project "Tuturial_final.prel" included with Premiere Elements.
    But not in my project!

  3. more info:
the transition is working fine between 2 still images
the transition is working fine between 2 different clips.
But when I use the razor tool or click on split clip and add the transition, it won't work!!!
    Strange.

  4. In fact, when you use the razor tool or the Split Clip tool and insert a transition, all of them are not working propelly or not at all.

Try it and let me know.

  5. I found the solution: http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?13@730.bVfYfTbmpPj.1@.3bbc2457/5

"You're not getting the transition to work because you need extra frames to make it 'appear' that there is a scene change. To get this to happen, after you razor cut you have to trim your new clips a little bit so that when you apply the cross disolve, they can 'cross' over one another."

I am have this problem. I am importing a 10 min clip, then using the razor tool to cut up the clip into smaller clips. But when I try to use a transition on any two clips, the transition does not work?

And the link above does not work.

Please any help would be great.

    Thanks,
    Nick

I think you discovered this but the clips need to overlap to make a dissolve.
