  3. To answer your question, yes, I know what they are.

A google search will get you standard definitions such as these.

Providing additional information such as what you intend to use them for might get you a more complete answer.

Online searches can even give you pictures.
USB - Universal Serial Bus = looks like a small rectangle with a tongue inside
Bluetooth = wireless technology that is strong signaled for short distances, but can be a bit expensive for certain items.
com ports = look similar to an old Atari joystick connector. They are ways of connecting hardware which uses serial connection technology. Many newer items are moving towards the use of USB & firewire.
LAN - Local Are Network = Sometimes the port is called a LAN, but is really an Ethernet port for RJ45 connector. For the simple user, it looks like a fat or larger telephone connector.
incoming & outgoing = I believe you're talking about I/O shown on some PCs. If so, It just means it can be used for incoming and outgoing flow of data.
(firewire) = I listed it, so I should probably explain. It's a technology that's catching on that runs faster than USB. The connector looks like a tall house or a long 'home-plate' style pentagon, sometimes on it's side.
goin out of my mind = term often used by the frustrated PC user.
