Putting last 3 episodes on 1 dvd

A friend of mine asked me to send him 3 video files that I have...

now, my question is, how do I put them all onto the 1 dvd, with no loss of picture quality or sound quality, so that he can play in his dvd player..

I can not save them as a data file, as his dvd player does NOT play data files, so that is out..
I can not use 'nero', as they will not all fit onto the 1 disk, so that is out..

is their a dvd authoring program that will fit them all onto the 1 dvd and will also make me a menu.

What format are they in now? What size is each file?
Reason for question is, not knowing anything else, I'd:
Use (free) Divx to DVD to convert files to DVD format....then if it is too big for single layer 4.7 DVD ....use (free) DVD shrink to reduce down to good size. And burn with what ever...Nero will work.
