why would a movie made with premiere elements, burned to dvd-r media, skip and bounce around like a cheerleader on crack when played in a mitsubishi dd-6040 player that has no compatibility issues with that media??
the movies play just fine in my el-cheapo magnavox...
just want to make sure that my homemade pornos are ok before sending them off to family members

What is the brand and media code of the media that you used. Did you check the forums for info on your standalone units. One might prefer +r media, and the other might like -r media. Regardless, not all standalones like the same brands of media. If you want the best compatibility, use verbatim MCC or Taiyo Yuden media...
