  1. to burn moves to a dvd-r? How come nero burning rom doesnt work? Is it because dvd shrink encodes it or something?

    Nero is for burning.
    DVD Shrink is an MPEG (DVD-Video) transcoder.

    Not the same kind of software.

    DVD Shrink is use to reduce the bit rate of your video file so that it takes less room on the dvd.
    DVD Shrink will also let you remove unwanted material from the dvd also to reduce size.

  4. regular move dvds like king kng and lord of the rings isnt 4.7 gigs like a dvd-r? I thought they were the same size.

  5. You thought wrong. They're on DVD9s. Those hold much more data, up to 7.95 GB:

    Yes, there are dual Layer DVDRs (both + and -).
