Is there such a thing as 'safe distance' for TV's and PCs ?

So I've decided to start a little capturing of my own , connecting my TV via the PVR-250 on my PC. My question is , is there a safe distance for keeping the TV away from the PC? Does anything like magnetic fields come into play, or would that be for older sets and such?

For example , I have my pc on a desk, normal style like you'd find at the store ,and next to the PC desk I've arranged a little television cart, with TV and VCR. The TV is about 1ft away from my tower, but the same height equally.

Anyone have a similar setup when doing capturing? Has anyone experienced loss of data or such from the magnetic field that a TV generates when it's first turned on?

I was wondering about the degaussing a TV does when first turned on. Could that, you think, damage a hard drive?

Possibly, if you mount it inside the TV. Cable DVR boxes have hard drives and usually sit on or under a TV.

Since TVs are sold with VCRs built into them and DVD players built into them I would think Hard drives are the next logical step unless there is really an issue such as this which would stop such manufacturing.
